We went to the Hillsong United Concert on 24th May last Saturday and had A BLAST!!! It was so so fun! :) We jumped, screamed, danced and just went nuts. It was the first (rock) concert most youth had been to, and it was great!
I’m just going to post up ZILLIONS of photos, which might take a long while to load, so DO be patient! So many of us went, I just think that each person deserves to have their photo up here! :)

When we got through the doors, we each got a goodie bag with a notebook, a water bottle, 2 light sticks and other promotional stuff.

The concert was going to start!!! Whoooo! :)
They played really jumpy songs at first, then switched to slow, reflective songs after which we had a one-hour sharing by a pastor. After that we had a few more slow songs, then ended on a high note with jumpy, bouncy songs again! :)

The concert ended at about 10.30pm, and we slowly made our way to the MRT station where we took the train back. It was super duper crowded, so we used our buddy system to keep track of the little ones, and no one was lost! :) Yay!
We were taking lots of silly pictures in the MRT and loads of people were staring!

Afterwards we spent a long time at the Lavender MRT station taking silly photos. It’s a good thing nobody reported us as suspicious people! :)

It was a really awesome experience, especially for those who have never been to a Christian rock concert before. It’s always smashing to be a part of this huge huge group of Jesus freaks, just screaming, jumping and praising God! I’m sure we can’t wait to go again!
Furthermore, when we got to the concert, we met a few friends who had extra tickets! So next time we’re not going to worry about not having enough tickets. We’ll just go down and see if we can get any! So nobody misses out! :)

Sleepover at Fairways and Caribbean! May 19, 2008

So we didn’t have to wait till 1st June to have our sleepover! Seeing as the apartment at Fairways Condominium was so big, we decided to have a sleepover there, then go to Caribbean the next day to swim! :) Many of us went! We enjoyed ourselves immensely.

When it started getting dark, we went off for dinner at that market. It was pretty yummy! Once we’d eaten our fill, we went back to the condominium where people took turns bathing. The others watched DVDs, played mahjong and many many rounds of Taboo! It was really fun haha!

We ended the night by watching Meet the Spartans. Slept about 1+, 2am? We woke up early the next morning to grab some breakfast at the market. Most of us ate yummy roti prata! Then we packed up all our stuff, cleared the apartment (can’t leave it all dirty and messy for the LST team!) and left for Caribbean! :)

We swam from 11+ to about 3pm! It was crazily fun. Ordered KFC and Mac’s for lunch. Almost all of us got sunburnt! All pink cheeked! Ouch.

Ken’s Da (3-day-MC) Man May 4, 2008

Kenneth’s white blood cell count is currently 90. He got a 3 day MC! He will have to go for another test and if his white blood cell count hits 80 or below, he must be hospitalized, so do pray hard for him! Because if he gets hospitalized we will go visit him and we are all very noisy and will disturb other patients! No no. He also does not have any other exams left (3 day MC leh!!!) except for a Chinese test so do pray very hard for THAT test!
Also keep Jeremy in your prayers, for the pain in his foot.
And little Mae, for her teeny finger!!!
And for everyone’s exams. All the best! Let’s have a sleepover once the exams are over! :)
Yay! Sleep early, rest well, drink water, study hard, pray harder and focus!
